A Moment
by Douglas Davis (USA)
One of the main reasons I created my business that is, the way
the universe arranged my work ethic and life-style is so I can
enjoy the luxury of taking and having a moment of satsang. Satsang
is that moment of truth where the reality of life, the universe
and everything is acknowledged by consciousness and someone to
voice it.
We are all potentially available to enjoy satsang. As the lovely
author Sark says, "Yes, we always have a choice." It simply requires
we "remember to remember" to enjoy it, to speak it, to accept
it and then, we become it. Without it, all words seem empty.
We all require love and we often feel that this is the place where
we can find it, and many do. The thrill of companionship and friendship
is like no other. But there are many super sensitives on the earth
(Gee, could that be us?) that are so in tune with the power of
Love, and we all wonder Hey, where is it really? Well, it is inside
us. Ironically, we didn't come to this earth to find love, we came
to show it. It is our greatest asset.
Some can play the violin, others can invent penicillin, but we,
Love the LOVE and to such a degree that when we enter a room,
we change people's lives forever. It is up to us to love the LOVE
and so much so it is our greatest quality. No one can, will or
should rob of us that. There is always plenty to share.
Next, we feel that this world is full of everything but that
we can't seem to find that certain something. And, as we look,
as we did with love, we tend to look to others for direction. Some
say they know, and fortunately, some do know. That is why it is
precious to find a teacher, Guru or loved one who does know. That
is why we edify them. But basically, we come to this world alone
and we leave alone. And so there is a built in program (inside
all of us) that will instruct us to our greatest knowledge and
purpose of every moment.
Call it satchitanand, authentic presence, Holy Spirit, "it" or
truth, it exists every moment and we are part of it. If we take
up space we are part of it. Therefore, the moment, every moment
requires us to trust. So, how do we find the right answer? TRUST
THE TRUST! God, it is the Serenity Prayer all over again! As we
learn to trust the trust, we live in Karma free synchronicity.
That synchronicity is perfect. And we are either in "it" or out
of "it.
Last, the great illusionist, the real world, wants us to be on
time, behave, and certainly don't make waves! "They" tell us that
we must be careful with our money and pre-pare for old age. How
is that for not trusting God? (Well, God is my nest egg). We either
trust God or we don't.
The civilians in the real world say: This is the material plane.
You can see spirit when you die, but only if you are good. Well,
if this was the material plane, then we would be rocks! This IS
the spiritual plane because this is where I experience spirit,
and hear it and use it and it uses me. Thank God.
As we work and play there is a higher self being in us at all
times. It is not what we do for work, or which culture we re from,
grew up in, it is who we are. Which is love, trust and consciousness.
Since we are here, we must do something. As we grow older, wiser
and even more sensitive to the implications of our actions, there
is only one thing to do service. But we are not our job or service,
we are but servants. As such we mature, we grow and ascend to be
humble, willing, ready and able to be more sensitive. As we honor
it in others, we honor it in ourselves and we become Godly. Why?
Because as we expect God to help us, we help and serve others,
others who need it (like us) and if God where here, that's what
God would do. That is our service.
And so my job allows me to take this moment to hear, give and
enjoya moment of satsang. God, it is good to be alive. Today is
a good day to live. (Remember to remember). Thanks for the moment
