Childhood Exchange (USA)
Anonymous, by request

I was watching television tonight and saw a bit of a segment on Unsolved Mysteries about walk ins. I recognized something I've known all my life but didn't have the right label for.

So I searched the Internet for information on walk-ins and found your site (I'll be buying books on the subject this weekend). I found the web page very interesting, but I have a question I was hoping you could help me with. All the information I have read on your web site has it as a phenomena that occurs in adulthood. Have you ever heard of cases of walk-ins in children?

I have a very clear recollection of a soul leaving me and a new soul replacing it when I was in grade school. I was a very unhappy child and wanted to just give up on life. Then it happened and I knew I was a different person. I had the same body but a different spirit and I felt much older than my elementary years.

I recall telling my parents that I was a new person, that the old me left, but I think they chalked it up to childish ramblings. I've thought about the experience from time to time as I have gone through life, but have never discussed it with anyone. I am now 26 years old and am respected in my profession.

I have felt a great internal drive to help people and do right since that day in grade school. I am always searching for a new way to help people. I think that I may be a walk-in. But if I am it occurred when I was very young. Is that common?

Editor's note: We did assure this person that indeed, many WE members have a childhood remembrance of a soul exchange. It may not come into their consciousness until they are older, but the experience does occur in the very young. The youngest we know of is 3 weeks.
